I like what I like, and I like the boom bap."
I like lyrics, that's what I like.
Anyway, the winter ball/formal/dance (My dad: A dance? I thought it was a formal. Me: It's a formal dance.) is coming up. I actually don't know when, but it's closer than it was yesterday. I'm excited, but nervous. You'd be nervous too, if you had to learn how to dance in heels. This is my first pair of heels, and they're pretty, but I hate walking in them. Maybe it's just cause I have no balance. Apparently ballroom dancing has been outlawed, because a someone's mom said it had to much contact. Come on, we're not going to be doing the tango. Or that other one that I forgot the name of.
I watched the movie "Strictly Ballroom" at my friend's birthday party. It's interesting, the dance will be Strictly No Ballroom. I thought it was funny.
I can't dance. I had like 30 minutes of instruction in Colonial dancing when I was like eight, and I took a few months of hip-hop recently ( that doesn't necessarily mean I can do that, either). And I don't have any idea what kind of dancing we will be doing anyway. Alexa said it will probably be some obscure kind of group dancing.
I really want guitar lessons. Really bad. But it's not January yet. I can't have lessons until January. Why? I could make it work. It's not like I'm going to have less stuff to do then.
I have to work again tonight. I worked last night. It was just Asia, Jason and me. Asia's fun to work with and Jason ignores me, so it went well. And we had ice cream. That's always a bonus.
I saw Eragon on Monday with Becca and Lauren. It was fun, the movie didn't follow the book as well as we would have liked, but Lauren was more put out because Murtagh didn't rip off his shirt in a fit of anger. Lauren: "Oh come on, Eragon gets to take his shirt off, but Murtagh doesn't?" I think Murtagh's her new Speed. And then she started laughing in what was suposed to be a sad moment. It was funny, though. Eragon: I need you! Brom: No, Eragon, I need you. *dies*

"Oh, I know, I trick myself."
I don't really have anything to say right now, but, like Mrs. Prince said, I shall trick myself. Like Ramon. "Oh, I know, I trick myself. Hey, look at that! What?"*falls off of a cliff*
I don't really have a Christmas list. It's actually a CD list. I found out about this artist who plays like four instruments. He's pretty good, but I laughed when he sang "Oh my dear." Cause I laugh at stuff like that.
No school today. AGAIN! Yesterday my mom was working at the church. My sister and I had so much fun. We brought our sleds and slid down practically every hill there. I love the steep one in front of the church. We named it Kamikaze Run. I went down ten times. Emily didn't want to, even though I told her it didn't hurt. It's not that fun climbing up again, though. I wore jeans, so they were thoroughly soaked.
So today we are going shopping. Ran out of things to say again. Which usually doesn't happen, cause I have a lot of things to say.
I heard someone say something about "Mother Nature" earlier. I just started thinking about it, and it sounds like a humanist thing to say. Because calling it "Mother" nature would imply that nature created us.
Soda-spraying is not violence!
And Pete the Rapping White Boy is gone from the story. Which you probably didn't know, cause I didn't post the part where he entered it yet. As Lauren says, he's dissing-appearing. There is a rumor that he has moved up north to sing for a Canadian band.

"I'm being Spontanuous!"
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, my life is not that interesting.
Anyways, Emily hurt herself. She sprained her ankle. She gets to use crutches. I like how my sentences are so short and boring. Apparently I don't have very much to say about that.
I was trying really hard to go to a concert tonight. I just found out about at like 2:30. But my dad said no. Which is probably okay, because the place they were having it had a bar.
I got The Reckoning. I pre-ordered it, but the place I got it didn't order enough, so I had to wait for like two extra months. It's pretty cool. It's got more screaming than Pillar has done before. They have a song called Crossfire.
I love Happy Feet! Mumble: *tap dances* His dad: "What are you doing?" Mumble: "I'm happy." His dad: "What's with the feet?" Mumble: "They're happy too."

*Samdances to Hawk Nelson*
Not much going on.... except for the awesome concert on Saturday.
The Classic Crime is pretty awesome. It's a little depressing-ish, (not as much as Red) but it's beautiful. You might like it, Lauren.
I'm not really impressed by Dizmas. I have the CD because I heard "Let This One Stay" on The Zone, and I like that song but the rest isn't that good.
My mom ordered subseven for me on the internet. It's very emo music. It's like Emo/Punk/ Rock. It's pretty cool. I listen to them on purevolume a lot.
I love Crossfire band! I asked Mrs. Swanberg if we could start back in September, and now it's November, and we still haven't started. :(
I can't wait to do Red at youth group, I get to really rock out. I LOVE that song.

I'd like my ear back, thank you.
That amp is LOUD! I bought a guitar a few days ago and finally got an amp. The guitar is an Ibanez GSZ120, and the amp is an Peavey Envoy 110. I don't know about you, but those numbers mean nothing to me. Cause I don't know anything about guitars. Or amps. Anyway, I was trying it out today. And now I can do the chorus to "Jehovah Jireh." I set the amp to metal distortion, and it's pretty cool.
I ordered a guitar strap online. It has a blue airbrushed lightning bolt on it. It's pretty awesome.
I finally got "Glory!" That cd is so awesome! Family Force 5 got here too, and I've been blasting both of those cds everywhere I go. Flyleaf came too. The lead singer, Lacey Mosley, has an amazing voice. You can really tell on There for You and So I Thought. Fully Alive has an awesome guitar intro.

The dirty dirty South
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! MUST POST MUSIC UPDATE!!
Okay, got that out of my system.
"Glory" by Manafest will be out soon! I LOVE that cd.
Family Force 5! "Check this breakdancing out!" They're awesome. And crazy. And Southern? "Yeah! Collard greens!" What are those? "Business Up Front, Party In The Back" might be here by Saturday. And Flyleaf. I pre-ordered Pillar and Skillet, too.
Tohawk! It's true. Tobymac has a mohawk. A real one. Yeah, the one involving shaving your head. It's on his myspace. His management didn't want it on there, so they commandeered his myspace and changed the picture. He changed it back. I think the mohawk's awesome.
LYRICS!
"I miss my first love bad and it's driving me mad, just like a mixed-up crazy person out of his head. It's been a long long time, I been on the decline. I do an about face so I can be replaced. 180!"
Replace Me, by Family Force 5.
My neck is sore from rocking out last night. But it was so fun...
Speaking of mohawks, Emily (W) and I were talking about a Romeo and Juliet play we might go see. It's got the original dialogue, but the people dress contemporary. We were joking about Romeo having tight pants and a mohawk. It was funny. Especially when we started talking about a hip-hop Romeo....

Sneaking!
Apparently my Gollum voice is really scary. Emily and I were talking to each other like Gollum and Lauren got really freaked out.
Some people in youth group were playing basketball and we were walking past talking about what would happen if the basketball hit us.
Them:"Ew! You got freak on my basketball!" Lauren: "Yeah well you got basketball on my freak!" Which makes no sense.
We bought studded wristbands at Claire's. We actually went into Hot Topic first, but they had no spikey ones. My sister Emily and Emily were pretty scared of Hot Topic and went out as soon as they could. That store scares me too.
Since I mention CDs in every post, I might as well in this one too.
I really want to get the Family Force 5 CD. They're pretty much awesome. Except for the scary mullet-man in their music video. *shudders*
Probably Pillar and Flyleaf too. Maybe Kutless, I like Shut Me Out, but I don't know if the rest is any good.

There is safety in numbers. There is also safety in guns.
Jason: "They ignored a direct command from the Mothership!" Mom: "Who are you calling a ship?" Jason: "Okay, how about a Mother-rowboat? Or a Mother-Jet Ski?" Mom: "You'd better be careful or I'm going to call you a Jason-paddle."
Which makes no sense. But it makes more sense than the thing about the pink and blue puppies. "I could be a FBI agent and interrogate kids! Hey Kid! Are you moving to Canada?"
Speaking of FBI agents and interrogating, Mr. FBI-agent-guy interrogated my mom. And I was hiding behind the door listening. "Is there anything to indicate that he might be doing illegal drugs?" says Mr. FBI agent. I thought that was funny. I don't know why.
We went to see Dr. Rencher today. Comforting name for an orthodontist, don't you think? And his assistant was talking to me. "You have less teeth, that makes you more advanced." *cough* evolutionist*cough*. My mom said he looked like a Mormon cause he had a really big smile and he never stopped smiling. You disappointed me, Mr. Smiley, with the whole evolution reference.
My parents keep telling me I'm going to have braces soon and then they tell me I have to wait longer. I think I'm going to get them in February, unless they do they discount thing for doing two at once.
My CDs came!! Well, not the Manafest one. That one comes out on September 26th. But Apparitions of Melody: The Dead Letters Edition by Kids In The Way and Dawn Escapes by Falling Up came. They're pretty awesome.

My 20th post! That's pitiful, actually.
I saw Material Girls yesterday, and it was okay, but the highlight of the movie for me was that guy rapping and then forgetting his lines. "And I forgot my lines.....so what's up what's up what's up!!" And he's jumping. You should see it just for that part. Emily and I were going to meet Lauren there, but we got there and didn't see her. "She's been raptured!" "Uh oh, what does that make us?" *both start screaming* It was pretty fun.
Will asked me to dance with him in my story, it was pretty scary. Lauren wrote a trail journal and in that Will Turner liked me, so I decided to put him in my story. Manafest got a little jealous and Jack Sparrow had to give him the honest man/dishonest man speech. But then Manafest introduced his friend Pete the Rapping White Boy. He's thinking that's a bad move now.
The real Manafest has another new song! It's called "Impossible" featuring Trever from TFK, it's a rock song more than a rap song, and it's awesome. And my mom still hasn't ordered the CD for me. :(

Manafest has a new CD coming out!
It's called "Glory" and you can listen to two songs from it here:
http://myspace.com/manafestca
"Dreams" is a cool song, a little bit slow, but still really good. I like the lyrics. "Bounce" is a very energetic song, a story of Manafest's life with a catchy hook. This will be a great album(it's Manafest, would you expect something less than great? I didn't think so. Unless you're Lauren), and I will be looking forward to it. I'm actually a little obsessed with music, so I'll be hurting myself trying to open the stupid package.
We had the "Dinner for Eight" thing tonight. Except it was more like a dinner for sixteen. I mean fifteen. One person didn't come.
I wrote a story about Jack Sparrow, KJ-52, Manafest, and Will Turner. It's really funny. Well Lauren enjoyed it. And teasing me about it.
Jack Sparrow and KJ start dissing each other's names. "KJ-52? What kind of name is that? It's like you're a robot or something" says Jack #1. Jack #2 proceeds to do the robot.
Leonard Brown called me. I have no idea who that is. I think it was a wrong number, cause no one knows my cell phone number. No, Lauren, he's not stalking me.
Now I shall go debate John Reuben about why KJ calls T.C. "Bumpy McSquiggums." Cause I really want to know.

Face painting...I mean fence painting
Okay it was kinda both. Emily got mad and started flinging paint at me. But it's latex paint so it just peels off. Painting took up a lot of the day cause lately I've had a problem getting up in the morning. Maybe it's because I can't get to bed before 10:30?
I still don't have all my curriculum for school. I'm trying to find a good Bible program, but the one I found requires a teacher, and my mom isn't very involved in that kind of stuff anymore.
Next week the youth group is going to the pool. I used to like swimming, but not anymore. And I hate swimsuits. So yeah, I'm not going. Freedomfest is soon, but since I went to Creation Fest I can't go. I'm not really that bummed. I don't think anything can top Creation Fest.
I was listening to some of Jason's music with him when we were going to a family gathering thing. There was this really cool song. I could tell it wasn't Christian, but it didn't have anything bad in it. He told me later that it was Black Eyed Peas. Whoa. The reviews I had read said they were really bad, content-wise. I was really surprised they had a song with no bad stuff in it.
"I HATE YOUR BOYFRIEND!!" "I HATE HIM TOO!!"
Quizzes are fun. :)
"This is how it works, I shoot you, you die. Savvy?" That's the kind of stuff I say when I'm playing Battlefront late at night. With a Jack Sparrow accent. Emily says I sound just like him. So I'm either talking with an accent, or I scream incessantly. Fun.

Yeah I pretty much love Skillet
They were awesome at Creation Fest. I haven't really heard them before that. So now I have their CD and wristband and Lauren says I'm copying her.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! The Israelis are teaching me look-say!(well, it's not really them, it's the language program I'm using) Duh, you kinda need phonics. And how am I supposed to know how to spell in Hebrew? Seriously, do you know what look-say is? You look at the word and memorize the way it looks and connect it with the spoken word. It doesn't work. Even the Germans knew that. But look-say is being used in our schools.
But enough ranting. Creation Fest was like a giant, three-day concert. It was like, music heaven. With heat. It was sooooo hot, we named the walk from the camp to the event Death Valley. "You need to drink this tub of Powerade before you get to the other side." Okay, It wasn't a tub, but it was a really big bottle. And heavy too. Surperchick was good. That was a big surprise for me, at least after Big Splash. Fireflight is awesome. I would've bought their CD there, but I already
pre-ordered it. I got the most awesome cd in the world, though. Phenomenom, by TFK. I love that cd.
I'm sore. No wonder. At the reunion, all of the little kids insisted on piggy back rides. All of the time. "Hamberger! I want a piggy-back ride!" "Say please." "Please?" "Okay."
I carried my six-year-old cousin for like 300 yards. She was wounded by shrapnel from a grenade. Not really, we were just pretending. The beach was being invaded and we were the last group left. We had to warn the base. And so the enemy wouldn't see us, we had to crawl through the dunes. It was awesome. Especially when your cousins will play along, calling you "General." Well, actually Jesse was a little confused and kept calling me Captain.
And I'm planning on inviting Lauren and Emily W. over tomorrow, but my mom just said Emily isn't available. :( I'm going to try to get something going anyway.
I finally got Battlefront 2!!!! Cause it was a Platinum Hit, which means it's only $20, instead of $50. I love that game! Lauren, you need to come over and play it with me. Oh, and Republic is better than CIS, and the Rebels are better than they were cause they have Bothan Spies, which are pretty awesome. I finally got the hang of space battles. "Oh look! I hit one! Let's celebrate!" *is killed by an auto turret in the process of celebrating.*

You're looking pretty Gangstadorable today
It was so fun rapping in church. Everyone really liked it. But Lauren's hat wasn't sideways. On "I Know That I Know" no one was singing! Except for me and Lauren. The little kids were just standing around. Then they went upstairs and started rocking out. Lauren, Emily and I went downstairs and sat by the monitor thing to listen to the pastor's sermon cause we didn't want to go in the sanctuary.
Game On at the Pacific Science Center is tomorrow. They're giving away Xbox 360s and DS Lites. And letting you play videogames all day. Then on Tuesday I'm leaving for Creation Fest. It's going to be so awesome. And hot. Very hot.
"Oh my gosh it's a lion!" *in really high little kid voice*
I hope they have Battlefront 2 at Game On. I love that game! I rented it for like five weeks in a row when it came out.
My Fireflight cd isn't going to get here until after Creation. I ordered a FM Static cd too, but I don't know why. It has Trever from TFK in it, so I thought it would be good. My bad. I'll probably just sell it and buy Phenomenon by TFK or Apparitions of Melody by Kids In The Way.

I think we shall call her Loaf of Toast
I don't want to be a loaf of toast. I don't even go to camp and they're trying to give me a camp name. And Marjorie (I'm not sure how you spell it, but it's not Margery) wants to name me after a pastry (her camp name is Homer?). But I got to paint pizza dough. It was fun. And no dishes! The LITs had to do that. And I'm getting paid. They're paying to do it.
I'm getting a Fireflight cd. Sometime soon, I hope. It comes out on the 25th.
Creation Fest is going to be so awesome!
I get to rap. In church. My church. Which is surprising. There's this hip-hop-ish VBS song, and Lauren and I love it. We had to get down on our knees and beg to get Mrs. Swanberg to say we could do it in church. But we have to do the rap. With mics. "You get to see two white girls rap at church this sunday!" Yeah. I bet that would draw people in. Actually no one would come. Cause they hate rap. Well, you know what, ya dumb.

Acquire The Fire was so awesome! Except for the gigantic bruise I got. And the damage to my lungs, which I thought was permanent for a while. It's all Grits's fault. I was going wild when they hinted they were gonna do "High". Poor Emily. They were all like, "We don't get low, we get?" And I scream (while jumping on Emily) "I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!" And then Sarai laughed at me. Maybe a little of an extreme reaction, but 1. They were the one and only Hip-Hop group to play there, 2. I've never heard them in concert before, and 3. I was extremely hyper.
Yeah, when I'm hyper, I do unexpected stuff sometimes. Though going wild during a Grits concert is not unexpected.
I was so sad. They said they would be in the other part of the dome, so you could go see them during the dinner break, but we got let out late, so I had to wait until we got back from dinner. And then they weren't there anymore. :( But at least they'll be at Creation Fest. Which I'm going to!!

You Are An Elvish Impersonator!
There's not really anything going on, except for Hurricane Ridge on Saturday. Oh yeah, and this dance class has a demo on friday. I really want to take it, but fridays are not good days to do that kind of stuff. And no, sadly, it itsn't breakdancing. :( But she said we might get into a little breakdancing. Which would be awesome.
:) I've seen Narnia three times and I'm not tired of it yet!
I don't have any money. Which is especially sad, because there's like five or six cds I really want to get right now.
Lauren and I had a really awkward moment.
"What are you doing?" "Looking away." "Wow, me too."
Don't even ask.
Emily's pretty much becoming a little Mozart. Not, but she is doing pretty well on piano. She has taken one lesson already, and has another today. Oh joy that means I get to play Pretty Pretty Princess again. Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spare me! Please!
My mom said it's "free training" for babysitting.
